The 'Playoff' colorway is one of the five original colorways released in 1997. This colorway dubbed its name from the 1997 Finals, where Michael Jordan collected his fifth ring. The XII was designed with inspiration from the Japanese 'Rising Sun' flag, as seen in the upper where panels are stitched in rays. This colorway has not met the XII again since this 2011 (or 2012 pending the production date) release, but is scheduled for a retro in 2022. Another iconic colorway for this model is the 'Flu Game' or 'Bred', in which Jordan played a game while under ill conditions and continued to score 38 points. For many sneakerheads, this is the final shoe of the signature Jordan line that is sought after. Not many have a taste for the models released after this 1997 pair. Whether you wear this shoe on the hardwood and drop dimes, or wear it on the concrete while you go out on the town, wear them with the confidence that took Michael to his five-of-six NBA Championship Rings
